Use this page to enter license information, configure system options, and specify the location of the System Administration Tool Help files.
You can configure the license information yourself or let the Mitel Application Management Centre (AMC) do it. You can also skip licensing if the system has already been licensed using the MiVoice Business Software Installer Tool or the System Administration Tool.
To configure licenses and system options:
(Optional) Select a licensing method (see below) and enter the required information.
(Optional) Select your configuration options.
Select the Help file location (see below).
Click Next to continue.
Sync with Mitel AMC - Select to register the system with the Mitel Application Management Center (AMC). Enter the Application Record ID (ARID) in the mandatory Application Record ID field. The Group Application Record ID (GARID) field is optional. A GARID makes the system the Designated License Manager allowing it to manage licenses for a group of systems.
Clear the check box if you want the system to use existing (previously installed) licensing and options.
NOTES
The Sync with Mitel AMC and manual licensing options are not available for server-based MiVoice Business platforms. These platforms are licensed using the Software Installer tool or through the MiVoice Business System Administration Tool before running the Configuration Wizard.
An internet connection is required to reach the Mitel AMC. You don't need the connection until you apply the configuration. The AMC and the wizard also need to communicate with MiVoice Business at configuration time, which means you might have to put the MiVoice Business system on the network before running the wizard. If you don't have a connection, the wizard will save the licensing information to as many as two batch files, one for the ARID information and another for the GARID. When you have a connection, you then run the batch file(s) to retrieve the license keys from the AMC and complete the configuration. For more information, see Offline Licensing.
You must ensure that the licensing is appropriate for the configuration; the Configuration Wizard does not validate license information.
The following System Options are automatically applied to your configuration and can only be changed in the MiVoice Business System Administration Tool:
Maximum CO Trunks in a Conference: 8
Music on Hold: No
Set Registration Access Code: ***
Set Replacement Access Code: ###
See Defaults applied to MiVoice Business for other system options applied.
Once a system is licensed, any subsequent ARID changes must be done using the License and Option Selection form in System Administration Tool for MiVoice Business. Using the Configuration Wizard or Software Installer tool for ARID changes on a licensed system could cause them to fail.
The AMC server's address should be resolvable from the Server Manager.
MiVoice Business - Select this option if the Help is installed on the controller.
Remote Server - Select this option if the Help is installed somewhere other than the controller. (Installing on a web server provides context-sensitive Help that links you directly to the Help topic associated with the form in the System Administration tool from which the Help was launched. The Help can also be installed without context-sensitivity support on a network drive or local PC; see Installing the Online Help for more information.)
In the box provided, enter the URL to the location of the Help files using the following syntax:
http://<IP Address of Remote Server>/<Help folder>/
For example: http://10.117.7.39
/Help/ where 10.117.1.39 is the IP Address of the remote web server and "Help" is the folder on the server that contains the Help files.
Help files not installed - Select this option if no Help is installed.
NOTES
If the Help is being provided by a web server, ensure that the Help version matches the system software version:
Launch the Help.
Click About the Help in the upper right corner of the Help viewer.
Click About System Administration in the lower left-hand corner of the System Administration Tool window.
If the URL is incorrect, a "404 Page Not Found" error will display when the Help is launched.
